Password Protecting the Physical Controller Interface

The NLP features the ability to password protect local access to the controller interface. This can prevent tampering with programming and other vital controller functions while still maintaining access to basic controller functions. 


Note: Both the username and password are case sensitive.


  1. Navigate to   System User
  2. Click
  3. Under Username, enter the desired username.
  4. Under Password, enter the desired password.
  5. Under Type, select the desired privilege for the username.
  6. Click CREATE
  7. Click Auth required A grey oval with a dot in it

  8. The physical controller interface will now require a username and password for any access.


Note: You must create a user with manager privileges in order to enable Auth required.


Explanation of Manager and User access:

  • Manager - Full access to controller.
  • User - Limited controller access. Only the Dashboard and 2-Wire Test sections are available. Programs and Stations can be started or stopped but cannot be edited.
